5-day core wellness tools mini-course
This free course focuses on core tools that can be used in the moment, when you are experiencing something that throws you off your center a bit. These are the foundation of how we can get a better handle on our reactions to the world and our own emotions.
Why this course? These are tools I’ve shown friends and colleagues again and again over the years. They found them very helpful. I’ve always been surprised how little practice they had when it comes to what I consider the basics of wellness. I hope this short mini-course can spread wider the skills that I’ve found the most useful for every day equanimity.
Day 1 looks at why and how to practice calmer breathing, as well as a few pointers to other ways to calm the mind through the body;
Day 2 goes over the value of time-outs and how to introduce them in our lives;
Day 3 discusses being present through mindfulness, meditation, and the relaxation response;
Day 4 explores ways to guide our attention towards the feelings we want;
Day 5 talks about baby steps and breaking down large things into small chunks that we can look at individually.
This is a humble, no-nonsense course. If you find it too basic and that you already know all the information, that would make me happy — it means you already have some solid tools in your toolbox!
